Who am I?

My name is Dr Mark Lloyd Davies and I am married to Alex and have two wonderful children called Rosie and Theo. My family mean the world to me and we’re a great team unit.

I am a highly experienced Corporate, Government Affairs & Communications Director with a strong track record of both growth and defence of business, whilst enhancing Company reputation. I believe I have particular strengths as a communicator, strategic thinker and in understanding the workings of Westminster. In October 2014 I received Leader of Leaders Award for most outstanding performance in my company’s Global Corporate affairs 110-strong group.

I love all sports, but rugby most especially and am Honorary Life President and co-founder of my local rugby club. I consequently received an RFU Volunteers Award for fostering close ties with a local University College and the community.

I am also fortunate to have travelled widely, including leading two expeditions to Antarctica; living in sub-zero temperatures for months on end!

Mark has played grassroots rugby since a young lad, first as blind side flanker and then ‘graduating’ to the distinguished position of tight head prop in his latter years.

Mark had twice been to Antarctica, both times for approximately 3 months. Conditions were stunning whilst challenging, living in the traditional ‘Scott tents’, at temperatures of -20oC in South Victoria Land, Antarctica.
