- Senior Director for the largest overseas life science investor in the UK employing 5,700 people nation-wide. Work with company Managing Directors and regional Vice-Presidents to improve interaction with the NHS and promote fiscal policies and regulatory regimes to attract global company investment.
- Helping business be a force for good: Launched an initiative with the company procurement to employ social enterprises/SMEs in under-served communities. In 2014, spend on such organisations increased from £0 to £250k with the aspiration of increasing this to £14-25m over 3-5 years, equating to 150-200 hard to reach jobs.
- Chair of The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry Antibiotics Network, working with the Government’s Chief Medical Officer, Professor Dame Sally Davies. Outputs concern both human and animal (farming) health.
Mark in a life science manufacturing plant. Mark is a member of the Government’s Life Sciences Board, which aims to increase apprenticeships in British industry.
